Manage periodic reviews
Last updated: April 1, 2026
Checkout.com conducts periodic reviews of your sub-entities to ensure the information we hold remains accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements. These reviews help confirm that your sub-entities’ business details, representative information, and risk profiles have not changed since onboarding.
By proactively verifying and refreshing this information, we help maintain a secure and uninterrupted service for your platform.
Depending on the sub-entities’ risk profiles, we conduct periodic reviews either:
- Annually
- Every two years
- Every three years
When a sub-entity is due for a periodic review, Checkout.com updates the sub-entity status to:
- Requirements due in the API and a Status changed webhook is sent as a result.
- Action required in the Dashboard
We also send a Status changed webhook.
You’re notified 90 days before the attestation deadline for each sub-entity depending on their periodic review timeline.
To complete the review, you must:
- Review the sub-entity's details.
- Update any information that has changed.
- Confirm that the information is accurate.
After you submit your attestation on behalf of the sub-entity, we'll review the submitted details. While the review is in progress:
- The sub-entity status changes to Pending.
- The sub-entity's processing capabilities remain unaffected.
If we need additional information, we notify you further through the sub-entity status change and the webhook.
Failure to complete the periodic review may result in restrictions on the sub-entity's processing capabilities, including potential suspension.
During a periodic review, we may ask you to review the following sub-entity details:
- Business legal and contact details
- Business representative details such as authorized signatory and ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs)
